Terms of Service

Effective September 25, 2026

The short version: you pay once and get 30 days of access to the map on up to 2 devices. It’s instant digital access, so all sales are final. The deals are the bars’ own promotions and can change, so check at the bar. You must be 21 or older to drink in the US. New York law applies. The full terms below are what counts.

1. Who we are

Happy Hour Hunter (“Happy Hour Hunter”, “we”, “us”) at hourhunter.com is operated by Thomas Moore, an individual doing business as Happy Hour Hunter in the United States, who is also the merchant of record for your payment. You can reach us at hello@hourhunter.com. These Terms are a contract between you and us. By buying, logging in or using the map you accept them, together with our Privacy Policy and Refund policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.

2. What you get

When you pay, you get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to view and use the Happy Hour Hunter map for New York City for 30 days from the moment of purchase, on up to 2 devices, for your own non-commercial use. During those 30 days we update the map every day: deals are added, corrected and removed as we re-check them.

Access ends automatically at the end of the period. There is no subscription, no automatic renewal and nothing to cancel. If you want more time you can buy another period at the price shown then. We don’t promise any minimum number of deals, that any particular deal will stay on the map, or that the map will still exist or be updated after your access ends.

3. Your login and the device limit

Your email address is your login. We send login links to it, so anyone with access to your inbox or to a login link can open your map: keep them private. The map works on up to 2 devices at a time; opening it on another one signs out the oldest.

Don’t share your access with other people, and don’t copy, scrape, download, republish, resell or redistribute the map or its data, use bots or automated tools on it, or interfere with the service. If you do, we may end your access without a refund.

4. Price and payment

The price is shown in US dollars on the page and again at checkout. It is a one-time payment taken by our payment processor, Stripe (card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or Link); we never see your full card number. Sales tax is added where the law requires it. Stripe emails you a receipt.

Launch pricing. A price labelled “launch price” is an introductory price. The higher price shown next to it is the price we intend to charge after the launch period, not a price you or anyone else has already paid.

5. All sales are final

Because your access starts the moment you pay, all sales are final. We don’t give refunds, credits or exchanges for any reason, including: you changed your mind, you didn’t use the map, a bar changed or didn’t honor a deal, you were signed out under the device limit, or you bought by mistake. You are told this next to every buy button and again at checkout before you pay.

Two exceptions: (a) if you were charged but never received access, or were charged twice for the same purchase, email us within 7 days and we’ll grant the access or refund the duplicate; (b) if we permanently shut the service down before your paid period ends, we’ll refund the unused part. Please email us before disputing a charge with your bank; we can usually fix the problem the same day. Details are in the Refund policy.

If you are in the European Union, the EEA or the United Kingdom: by completing checkout you expressly request that we supply the digital content (access to the map) immediately, before the 14-day withdrawal period ends, and you acknowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal or cancellation once access begins (Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 16(m); UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, regulation 37).

6. The deals are the bars’ own offers

The map lists happy-hour and drink promotions that bars and restaurants publish themselves, on their menus, websites or social accounts. We are not affiliated with any venue, we don’t sell or serve alcohol or anything else, and nothing on the map is an offer, coupon, voucher or guarantee from us.

Venues can change prices, hours, items and conditions or end a promotion at any time without telling us, and can refuse or limit a deal (for example to certain areas of the bar, to dine-in, or with a minimum order). “Verified” and the date on a card mean that on that date we checked the venue’s own published source; they don’t mean the venue will honor the deal when you arrive. Please confirm the deal at the venue before you order. We are not responsible for what a venue charges or does, or for anything that happens at a venue.

7. Alcohol and your responsibility

In the United States you must be 21 or older to buy or drink alcohol. Happy Hour Hunter is for adults of legal drinking age and is not intended for anyone under 21. Please drink responsibly and never drive after drinking. Venues may ask for ID and can refuse service. You are responsible for your own choices and conduct and for following the law wherever you are.

8. Things you send us

If you report a deal from a card or email us, you give us a free, permanent license to use what you send to check, fix and improve the map. Send only truthful reports. We decide what to do with them.

9. Ownership

The map, the deal data we have compiled, the design, the software and the Happy Hour Hunter name belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. Map tiles are served by OpenFreeMap with data © OpenStreetMap contributors. Venue names and logos belong to their owners; showing them on the map doesn’t imply affiliation or endorsement.

10. No warranties

The service and everything on it are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises or warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that the map will be accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted or error-free, or that any deal will be available. Some states don’t allow limits on implied warranties, so parts of this may not apply to you.

11. Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows: (a) we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost money, data or goodwill, arising from the service, a deal or a venue; and (b) our total liability to you for all claims connected with the service is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. These limits don’t apply to liability that can’t be limited by law, such as our fraud, gross negligence or willful misconduct, or to rights you have under New York consumer protection law that can’t be waived.

12. Changes and ending the service

We may change the map, the service or these Terms. If we make a material change to the Terms we’ll post the new version here with a new effective date; it applies to purchases made after that date. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms. We may discontinue the service; section 5 says what we refund if that happens during your paid period.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms and any dispute between you and us are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and by applicable US federal law. If you have a problem, email us first at hello@hourhunter.com and give us 30 days to sort it out; most issues are fixed the same day. Any claim that isn’t resolved must be brought in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction; except that you may bring an eligible claim in the small claims court where you live, and either of us may ask any court for an injunction to protect intellectual property. Nothing in this section takes away rights you have under the mandatory consumer laws of the place where you live.

14. General

These Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Refund policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the service. If part of them can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a term right away, we can still enforce it later. You can’t transfer your access or this agreement; we may transfer it to a successor of the business.
