Privacy Policy
We collect what we need to sell you the map, log you in, keep it to 2 devices and fix wrong deals: your email, a payment record (held by Stripe), a random device ID and the reports you send. We don’t sell your personal information.
1. Who is responsible
Happy Hour Hunter at hourhunter.com is operated by Thomas Moore, an individual doing business as Happy Hour Hunter in the United States. Privacy questions and requests: hello@hourhunter.com.
2. What we collect and why
- Email address. It is your account and your login. We use it to create your account, send login links, send the purchase and login emails, and answer support requests. (Needed to provide the service you bought.)
- Payment. Stripe collects your card or wallet details, and your name and billing address if needed, on its own checkout page; we never see or store your full card number. We receive a payment confirmation and keep your email, the Stripe customer and checkout IDs, the amount, the purchase date and the access period. At checkout we also record the IP address and browser type of the device that paid and keep them with the payment record as evidence that the purchase was made and delivered (fraud prevention and payment disputes).
- Device and session. A random identifier stored in your browser, your browser’s user-agent string, your login session ID and timestamps, so we can keep you logged in and enforce the 2-device limit.
- Deal reports. When you tap “Something wrong with this deal?”: which deal, the reason you chose, any note you type, and your account ID, so repeat reports from different people can hide a deal.
- Support emails. Whatever you send us, so we can reply.
- Landing-page test. A cookie called
hhh_lpremembers which version of our landing page you saw so you keep seeing the same one; the letter is also stored with a purchase so we can tell which version sells better. It contains no personal data. - Server logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard request logs (IP address, URL, browser, time) for a short period for security and debugging.
- Advertising pixels (when turned on). We may use the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and TikTok pixels to measure whether our videos lead to purchases. When active, they send page views, checkout starts and completed purchases (with the amount) to Meta and/or TikTok, which set their own cookies and may match the events to their users under their own privacy policies. We don’t send them your email or name. You can block them with your browser’s tracking protection or an ad blocker; the map works without them.
3. Cookies and browser storage
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
sb-…-auth-token | Keeps you logged in (Supabase Auth). Essential. | Up to a year, or until you log out |
hhh_lp | Which landing-page version you were shown. No personal data. | 30 days |
device_id (local storage) | Random ID for the 2-device limit. Essential. | Until you clear site data |
| Stripe cookies | Fraud prevention on checkout.stripe.com, under Stripe’s policy. | Set by Stripe |
_fbp, _ttp | Meta and TikTok pixels, only when we turn them on. Advertising measurement. | Up to 13 months |
We don’t show a cookie banner: we use essential cookies plus, if activated, the two pixels described above.
4. Who we share data with
These companies process data for us, only to run the service:
- Stripe (payments and receipts; United States).
- Supabase (database and login; hosted in the United States, East region).
- Railway (web hosting; United States).
- Resend (delivers our login and purchase emails).
- OpenFreeMap (map tiles: your browser downloads the map images from tiles.openfreemap.org, which sees your IP address like any site you load).
- Google (when you tap Directions or a venue’s Website you leave our site; Google’s or the venue’s privacy policy applies there).
- Meta and TikTok (pixels, as described above, only when active).
We may also disclose data when the law requires it, to respond to a payment dispute or legal claim, or to a buyer of the business (we would tell you). We don’t sell personal information, and we don’t share it for money.
5. How long we keep it
- Account data (email, access dates, device records): while you have access and for up to 2 years after, so we can help you log back in and answer disputes. Delete it sooner on request.
- Payment records: as long as tax and payment-network rules require (usually 7 years), held by Stripe and in our purchase ledger.
- Deal reports: kept with the deal’s verification history; deleted with your account.
- Pixel data: under Meta’s and TikTok’s retention rules.
6. Your choices and rights
Email hello@hourhunter.com to see, correct or delete the data we hold about you, or to stop any email from us. We answer within 30 days and may ask you to confirm from the email address on the account. Deleting your account ends your access and doesn’t entitle you to a refund. We give these rights to everyone, whether or not a state privacy law (such as California’s CCPA/CPRA, which does not currently apply to a business of our size) requires it, and we never treat you differently for using them. Our pages don’t respond to browser “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signals; use your browser’s tracking protection to block the pixels.
7. Children
The service is for adults 21 and over. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 (or under 21). If you believe a child has given us data, email us and we’ll delete it.
8. Security
Everything is served over HTTPS. There are no passwords to leak: login links are single-use and expire within 24 hours. Card data never touches our servers. Database access is limited to the operator. We keep reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards as required by New York’s SHIELD Act, and if a breach affects you we’ll notify you as the law requires.
9. Where your data is processed
In the United States. If you use the service from outside the US, your data is transferred to and processed in the US.
10. Emails we send
Login links, purchase confirmations, support replies and notices about the service (for example a change to the Terms). These are transactional: they are part of what you bought and can’t be switched off while you have access. We won’t send marketing emails unless you opt in, and those will carry an unsubscribe link.
11. Changes
If we change this policy we’ll post the new version here with a new effective date. If the change is material we’ll also say so on the site or by email.
12. Contact
hello@hourhunter.com. See also the Terms of Service and Refund policy. Your access lasts 30 days from purchase.
